Winchester 1885 High Wall Hunter .22-250 Remington Features: The Winchester 1885 High Wall earned its reputation for simplicity, ease of use and accuracy during the Creedmoor shooting matches of the late 1800s. The same features that made it so desireable then, make it one of the premier single shot hunting and target rifles in production today. The Hunter model uses the same single shot falling block lever action used in those historic rifles, and maintains the accuracy and strength that made it so successful in 1885. It features a 28-inch full octagon barrel that’s ideal for accurate shooting and getting the highest possible velocity from the cartridge, improving long range performance. It’s also fitted with a satin finished walnut stock with a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad, for improved recoil reduction compared to the steel crescent butt plate found on the originals. Drilled and tapped for scope mounts, this classic single shot rifle is perfect for hunters and target shooters who value simplicity, reliability, and making every shot count.
