DESCRIPTION
This Chester County Armory listing is for one of the most rare and sought after transferable NFA machine guns out there, the Beretta 93R 9x19mm machine pistol.
One of only 12 known fully transferable versions available in the US, the Beretta 93R was was first introduced by Beretta in 1979, to fill a need for Italian counter-terrorism police units that where formed in the 1970’s to combat the growing threat of terriorist groups. They wanted something small and concealable, but yet would have rapid fire capabilities.
Beretta created the 93R as an answer to that need. Basically, it amounts to a select-fire version of their famous 92 semi-automatic pistol, but with the ability to fire in three round bursts as well as semi-auto, with an 1,100 round/min cyclic rate! The R stands for raffica, which is Italian for “burst” or “volley.”
For controlability, Beretta created a unique, and highly recognizable, fold-down front grip (that is small enough to allow for the weapon to be holstered in a standard hip holster) and an easily attached, removable folding stock assembly that can be carried separately from the gun and installed quickly.
This weapon is in excellent overall condition. Mechanically, it is fully fucntional and appears to have seen little use. Cosmetically, it does denote some minor handling and storage marks in the exterior finish, but it displays no dents, dings, gouges, cracks, etc. of any concern. There is a spot of small finish wear on the right side of the frame at the front (see photos) , but nothing that impedes functionality of the weapon.
This model proudly displays the fold down front hand grip and the removable fold-out stock that the Beretta 93R was famous for. It was registered by SCW utilizing original Beretta 93 parts. This select-fire weapon comes with its original, period correct, Beretta 20rd factory magazine.
This extremely rare transferable weapon is on a Form 3 in our possession and ready for sale! The Form 3 paperwork lists the manufacturer as “SWC” and the model as “93R”. This machine pistol is fully transferable.
